Hot Shoe to 1/4″ 20 Thread Adaptor with Locking Ring
This handy accessory comprises a small block with a standard hot shoe flash adaptor slot on one side.
The opposite side has a 1/4″ tripod thread socket that rotates via a locking ring.
Using the adpator it’s possible to mount most devices that fit into a flash hot shoe, onto a standard tripod or other mount.
The locking ring allows for the precise positioning of the adaptor before it is locked into position.
The obvious use for this is to mount a flash gun off camera, but it is also useful for remote microphones and other non-flash items normally designed to fit into a hot-shoe.
